PEF Marion is a not-for-profit corporation organized to enhance education in the Marion County Public School System, from pre-Kindergarten through vocational and adult education programs. Over the past 24 years, The Public Education Foundation of Marion County has proudly raised close to 9.3 million dollars for our teachers and students in Marion County. Those funds have been placed directly back into the hands of our teachers through programs like Grants for Great Ideas.

The Public Education Foundation of Marion County will formalize a record-setting partnership with its newest supporter, BMW/VW/Porsche of Ocala tonight. The $50,000 partnership includes a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta for next year’s Marion County Teacher of the Year, cash awards for school-based teachers and rookie teachers of the year, and various sponsorships for employee recognitions, school projects, and school athletic programs.
